Did you know that compared to a single-use plastic bag, cotton bags need to be used more than 7,100 times to offset the environmental impact that is created when making the bag? 
 
The good news is that our bags are so much more sustainable than cotton bags because our bags are not made from new material; they are made from upcycled fabric that would have otherwise ended up in landfills or our environment!  According to Circular Blu, "upcycled bags have the best environmental benefits, as they require minimal energy inputs and essentially erase the environmental impact of a bag regardless of its material type. This group includes bags made from scraps, or diverted waste streams."  So you can purchase our bags knowing that they are the most environmentally friendly option!
 
Our Tote Bags are the perfect book bag, grocery bag (they're washable!), beach bag, and everyday-use bag!  The dimensions are 16 inches tall by 15.5 inches wide (not including straps).  The fabric we use for our Tote Bags is purchased from a local nonprofit called FABSCRAP and the packaging we use to ship the product is 100% home compostable!
 
We donate $5 (that's 20%!) from each upcycled Tote Bag to FABSCRAP, a nonprofit that endeavors to end commercial textile “waste” and maximize the value of unused fabric. FABSCRAP is a convenient and transparent recycling and reuse SERVICE, is an affordable and accessible materials RESOURCE, and is educating and empowering a diverse COMMUNITY of changemakers.  They have diverted over 1,000,000 pounds of textile waste from landfills and our environment since their founding in 2016!
