Welcome to our fifth “Letter from the CEO”, a letter directly from Sierra (that’s me!). Every other week, this letter will include behind-the-scenes of UP Cycle Design and share exciting updates so you’re the first to know. Today's letter features our first ever UP Cycle Design SALE, upcoming events, and a new product launch!

Our 1st SALE

We are holding our first UP Cycle Design SALE on Small Business Saturday (11.26.22)! All of our stickers, iron-on patches, and wall art will be on sale on our website for special prices. You can get all of your holiday shopping done in one place and our items are the perfect gift! Your friends and family will love knowing that their gift supports the environment, a woman-owned and operated business, and also donates to a nonprofit cause!

UPcoming Events

We will be sharing a booth with our Founder's nonprofit AutumnLeaf Fundraisers at the 30th Annual Country Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, December 3rd from 9-3! This event is at Avon Grove Intermediate School (395 S. Jennersville Road. West Grove, PA. 19390), and is a huge event with hundreds of vendors and is a great place to do holiday shopping!

If you're in the Newark, DE area, on Monday, December 5th from 6-7, we will have an UP Cycle Design booth at the University of Delaware Sustainable Small Business Fair! This will be held in the Perkins Student Center in the Ewing Room. We are so excited to be doing these events and can't wait to see you there!

Products

We recently launched our Manatee Wall Art! Now your favorite manatee design comes in a larger size (4.6 x 6.4 inches) and comes with a wall safe backing! Did you know more manatees died in the first half of 2021 than any other year in Florida's history leading to 1/6 of their total population dying in 2021? We need to do something to stop this crisis, so the UP Cycle Design team came together to create this design with a campaign to save the manatees! We donate $10 from each Manatee Wall Art to Save the Manatee Club, a nonprofit that helps with manatee conservation and saving the lives of manatees every day who are affected by the current manatee crisis! Marketing

Last night, we pitched at the Blue Hen Leadership Program (BHLP) Tier 2 Partner Meet-and-Greet event! We submitted a project proposal to the Tier 2 students and will be matched with a group of BHLP students that will help us with our marketing and sales strategy in the winter and spring, primarily focused on short video content. Professional Development Curriculum

This week, we started the first section of the second topic "LinkedIn" of our pilot professional development curriculum with our team this week in partnership with Margaret O'Dwyer from DYLN (Delaware Youth Leadership Network)!
