Hello everyone!
Welcome to our fourth “Letter from the CEO”, a letter directly from Sierra (that’s me!). Every other week, this letter will include behind-the-scenes of UP Cycle Design and share exciting updates so you’re the first to know. Today's letter features a new product launch, exciting milestones, and an update on our professional development curriculum!
Products
In the last two weeks, we launched our Geometric Cat design! This design can have a sticker or iron-on patch backing, and supports Forgotten Cats, a nonprofit that is the leading trap, neuter, vaccinate, return (TNVR) nonprofit in the region. Servicing Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey, Forgotten Cats specializes in TNVR in order to humanely reduce the homeless cat population! They have spayed and neutered over 165,000 feral cats and placed over 19,000 cats into loving homes. Help forgotten cats find their furrrever purrfect home! Marketing
In the last two weeks, we passed a milestone of 3,000 community members (includes IG, FB, TikTok, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, etc.)! We are so grateful for all of our UP Cycle Design family that have joined us on this journey and are so excited for what's next! If you haven’t already, please follow us on IG here.
Professional Development Curriculum
We finished the first topic "Resumes" of our pilot professional development curriculum with our team this week in partnership with Margaret O'Dwyer from DYLN (Delaware Youth Leadership Network)! Our next topic this month is LinkedIn!
Impact
We have officially passed the $1,000 milestone of money raised for nonprofits since we began UP Cycle Design! This is such an exciting moment, and we can't wait to achieve our next goal of $5,000 raised! We also passed 5,000 hours that are our team has put into UP Cycle Design since our project began in Fall 2019. It's been such an incredible journey and we've created so much internal and external impact and can't wait to create even more! Check out our impact to date below:
Support
We are still currently looking to add two new team members to our UP Cycle Design family! If you know anyone who would be interested in either of the two following rolls, please connect us by email (up.cycle.sustainability@gmail.com): 1. Internal Impact Coordinator & 2. Sales Captain. To the left, we have a flyer for the Internal Impact Coordinator position with a position description QR code that you can share. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out! Preference given to UD students or those in the Newark, DE area. Thank you for your help in sharing this opportunity!
Thank you so much for being on this exciting journey with us, and we can’t wait to share what’s next!
